I found this crochet blog today. She has a lot of patterns and instructions for different little mtifs and small projects.

I had some time to crochet last night when I realized I had left my crochet bag up at the assisted living where my mom is! EEk! I don't know why I even bother bringing it with me. So far, I've never had a chance to crochet up there. I hope my bag sitting there in her room doesn't confuse and upset her because she doesn't know who it belongs to. Yesterday, I took my mom out to the grocery store. She bought $35.00 worth of fruit and various snacks, drinks. She definately can't say she doesn't have anything in her refrigerator anymore. She actually even told me "thank you" before I left which is rare.

Oh and the most exciting thing is that my husband finished the tile in the bathroom last night! He's not completely through with the bath room but I'm actually going to take a shower in my bathroom for the first time in months in just a few months today! It looks really nice. That part of my house looks like it belongs in someone else's house, not mine. We got new fixtures and faucets as well. Too bad with our water it is inevitable that my new shiny faucets will get lime deposits no matter how much you wipe. It happened in my kitchen and I wipe that many times a day. He still plans on resurfacing the floor but it will have to cure for 5 days before use so he's going to do it right before we leave for our camping trip.

I've finished all the letters on my name doily. I'm almost ready to start the border. Probably won't have time to work on it much today though. We're about to go to church this morning and I have some catching up on some stuff around here this afternoon. Yesterday, Alison and I had a "mommy-daughter day". We went to the mall and ate at her favorite place "Manchu Wok" that is at the mall and did some shopping. Hopefully, I'll get the lawn moved, go the grocery store, and catch up on some laundry today. Michael is going to the doctor to get his bandage changed and check the progress of healing since his surgery tomorrow and I'll need to check on my mom at the assisted living. Her place is right next door to Michael's doctor. My mom was moved on Friday to a private room because she didn't react well when she got her new room-mate on Friday. Even though they have separate private rooms, my mom couldn't handle the change and it threw her into confusion.
We're starting to plan a camping trip and we're trying to decide where we're going to go over the 4th.

Michael had surgery this morning to have the plate removed that was put in his arm when he broke it about 1 1/2 yrs. ago. He did fine for surgery but it was still surgery so he's got a few days of recuperating to do. He's sleeping now trying to get out from under the anesthesia. I haven't seen my son this still and quiet in years!

Alison had all kinds of goodies planned for Daddy for Father's Day. She made him Shrinky Dink's, a card. I made cinnamon rolls and his favorite dinner. Alison even wrote a really sweet song and played the guitar for Daddy. I tried to upload a video of it but it wouldn't load. The kids made him a Father's Day cake too...

I'm working on crocheting a thread name doily right now. I see other people with those and I always like them so I decided it was time I made one for my house. I'm not much on crocheting with thread because its so tedious. I'm using a bit bigger thread and a bigger hook so its not so bad.

I got my new Dell laptop yesterday. Now I'm working on getting it set up and doing all the stuff involved with a new computer. Trying to get my old programs set up, etc. Everything is going good so far. I'm about to get dressed and head out to see my mama at the assisted living. I actually crocheted for a few minutes last night. I think its been months since I've done that with all the business/chaos of late...

This is the first year Alison has performed in all 3 shows of the end of year performance. Boy, that was tiring. We got home late Friday night and then had to get up and go straight back yesterday where we spend the entire day for the matinee and evening shows. We got home after 11 pm last night.
