I've been yarning around quite a bit!

I am going to be back to blogging again! I have been crocheting a lot, a lot and there needs to be a journal of my makes.

Tomorrow I am having a crochet "garage sale" of sorts.. I'm going to go down to the local farmer's market/craft fair and see how I do with selling some of my items. I have tubs of things I have made for the love of making. It makes me feel back to have them all packed away. So I will either sell some items tomorrow or I will probably never go back! Lol! It's a bit scary because I am NOT a good salesperson at all.

So now onto the fun stuff...here's a load of pictures of what I have been up to... First up is a crocheted sandwich! This one won't be on the table for sale tomorrow because I made it for my grandkids. There's more crochet food coming in the future for them to play with
I got started crocheting Christmas stuff way back in July or August...here's a few of the items I made for my family that won't be on the table tomorrow.
Honestly, there's probably a lot of things that I've missed taking pictures of.
I will do better from here on out.

Here's a partial view of some of the things I will be attempting to sell tomorrow.  There's really a lot more than this shows but I will be sure to take pictures of my set up tomorrow and will let you know what sold the best, if anything at all!

There's stand of various ornments, Bookmarks, Slippers, Pan Handle Covers, and Boot Cuffs, Stuffed Chickens! Lord I hope I get rid of those boot cuffs.  I went on that spree years and years ago!!

I've made two of these Egg Gathering Aprons!  Aren't they cute? I'm hoping these will be novel enough to sell to some chicken loving souls.

Getting stuff packed and ready!

Hey, and let me know if anyone is around to still read this blog!

After Christmas

Here's a picture of a last minute ornament I made on Christmas Eve. He was fun and quick to make!

Christmas is over and I'm still full! We had a fun day. We got up and had our Christmas with the kids. The kid's had a nice Christmas despite it all thanks for generous friends. I wasn't supposed to get any presents but Jeff got me a egg slicer because mine broke while I was cooking Christmas dinner. I got a new toothbrush head which I've been putting off buying and he bought me some "I Love This Yarn" yarn! After that, my oldest sister and her kids came over for Christmas day. We ate and ate, opened presents and played Catch Phrase. Aunt Ro and Angelo gave Alison the game Apples To Apples and we all played that for a while. It's always lots of fun when they visit.

Last night we went to the movies to see Sherlock Holmes.

I'm exhausted today and was going to try to take a nap this afternoon after everyone left. As soon as I layed down, my neighbor dropped by with her two kids and stayed for several hours. We fed them some left-overs and she took a plate home for her husband. Finally, making a dent in all this food! LOL ... Now, I'm about to go to bed early tonight and get a good night's rest so I can rest up to get the house and yard cleaned back up.

My short-lived job watching my nephew is over. She can't afford to pay anyone to watch him so he's going to go to his Dad's house while she's at work. Gonna miss the little squirt!

We saw a Christmas hat in the store similar to this with the real long tail. Alison liked it so I made her this one.

Alison has been busy working on making her pinata for her party!

Michael made homemade pizza dough and this pizza today. Looks yummy!

Crochet Christmas Trees

Last night, I sat down with Michael and Alison and helped them crochet these trees. Mine is the red one. Alison made the green one. Michael made the turquoise blue one. There was a little frustration for Alison but both of them did a great job!

These trees are a cute little quick project. She also has tutorials for a granny star and a heart that are both real cute...

Santa Bag

This is a pretty big bag! It think it turned out really cute. I think I have the person in mind to give this to that will really appreciate it.

We decorated our Christmas tree tonight. I'm not putting all my decorations up this year. I had packed everything up in storage since I thought we were moving! Can't bring myself to haul all that stuff back home again.

It's supposed to SNOW here tomorrow! Too bad we already hauled our wood pile off in preparation for our move!

I have been thinking about how to have a very, very low cost birthday party for Alison's birthday that is coming up in a few weeks. I think I'm going to crochet little bags to use as the goody bags for the girls...about the size of a cell phone so they can use it for a case or whatever ever little trinkets they might want to use it for. I'll just put in a few pieces of candy and consider the bag itself the party favor. I guess I'll need to start making a pinata soon and Alison is going to make her own invitations. We will take the girls on a trailer ride to look at Christmas lights around a nearby neighborhood. I'll borrow my neighbor's heart shaped cake pan and make my cake. Alison wants me to make pink heart shaped rice crispy treats for the trailer ride.

I need a nose

This is a little gift bag. Not crazy about this pattern. The top of the bag is so narrow it was almost impossible to get his eyes and mouth sewed on. That's why he doesn't have a nose. It was just too much to try to embroider a nose on. A glued on felt nose may be in order here.
