My "Big Lots" yarn

My "Big Lots" Yarn Posted by Picasa

Super soft pink fuzzy yarn Posted by Picasa

This yarn is soooooo soft. I bought plenty of it because the skeins are small and I want to make Alison a sweater out of this. I'm looking for a very, very simple sweater pattern in either plain sc or dc to use with this yarn since it is rather difficult to work with. Alison absolutely *loves* any clothing that is fuzzy and soft :)

It's really hard to tell what this yarn truly looks like in the picture. I have already made the hat and scarf set below using this yarn as accent. This set is going to be a gift for a little girl I know.

This was the first hat I made but it turned out to be too small so I guess I'll just tuck this one away for now!

This is the same yarn as the dark pink stuff but they didn't have a lot of this left. This is a really pretty color but you can't really tell in the picture. The colors don't show true here.

This is the same kind of yarn as the baby blue yarn. Alison wants me to make her a scarf and hat set just like the baby blue one with the pink.

So....that covers it for my bargain birthday yarn. Yes, I do have a wonderful hubby that puts up with my yarn obsession! :)

I've gotten ALL of my GREEN yarn rewound with my yarn winder! I highly recommend this if space is a problem for your yarn. This is a great tool to have!

Stash Flash!

Well, all of us yarn addicts are uniting on this ring I joined today called "Proud to be a yarn addict" so I decided to post some pictures of my proudly growing stash! I had it down to 2 bins but then decided, what the heck...I'll get the drawers out of the camper and use those for yarn too! I mean they are designed to "stack" you know. I wonder how high they will stack? I mean what's so bad about being addicted to yarn?...its a perfectly acceptable addiction. I'm not ashamed! I am proud to unite with the yarn hoaders of the world! Let's go girls!! I can see the headlines now... "Woman gets crushed by stacking plastic bins too high" Seriously you ask...."How can you possibly use all that yarn?" I can, I tell you! I can! I had yarn to get rid of that I thought I wouldn't use...well, I broke into that stash because I "needed" to use it for something! Thank goodness I didn't give in to the pressure to de-stash! I am now free to be a yarn hoarder!
(He, he...)

Thread bag Posted by Picasa

I've realized now that I'd rather crochet with yarn, but I did go through a "thread" phase of which these spools are the result of.

Granny bag (holds my thread) Posted by Picasa

While I'm at it, I'll show a better view of the bag I made of granny squares which now holds my thread. All the squares are different...now I am tempted to frog this bag and use the squares for my "King Sized Afghan Project"...dunno if I will do it though.
