Well, I finished the last pair of slippers for an order I had. It took me longer to make this one pair of loafers than it did to make the other two pair of slippers put together. It's not the original slippers she asked for but I couldn't get the pattern to work for a child size. I needed something that didn't look too feminine because it's a boy. This is what I came up with. I hope they like them!
Still trying out boot cuff patterns. I really like this pattern. It's free here: Fun, Fall Boot Cuffs - B.hooked Crochet I'm most likely going to sew some buttons onto these.
I've got three pairs of fingerless gloves worked up so far. I'm just going to keep making these. They make nice gifts and they sell well. A friend said I could put some crocheted items in a Trade Day booth in November and December. I'm going to put these and boot cuffs in a basket and sell them for $15 each and see how it goes. They won't take up much space in her booth and maybe I can make a few bucks towards Christmas!
I love this fingerless glove pattern. I have used this pattern over and over again. You can find the free pattern here: Two Little C's: Simple Fingerless Gloves Pattern
Sewed the button on my coffee mug cozy and made the other towel topper...
Here's the pattern I've been using as a guideline for my coffee cozies: Cup Cozy Tutorial
Then, I decided instead of making another mug cozy and towel topper for a gift, I changed it to fingerless gloves instead. I made two pair.
I sewed the buttons on the Mickey Mouse hat so this one is ready to wrap up...
1 hat - have to finish by Christmas
1 button neck cowl - finish before Christmas
I feel a lot better now that got that out of the way. Now all I have left to do is a buttoned neck cowl and the red/white hat. Then next week, we'll get on with the Christmas fun! We're going to decorate cookies and make Gingerbread houses!

Hats & Scarves
Labels: gloves, hats, scarves 0 commentsI'm making scarves to sell but Alison is taking first choice on them. She almost took this set but she is wanting infinity style scarves so I'm going to make her a brown infinity scarf instead. She wore the scarf to youth last night and got compliments. This is a really soft, fuzzy yarn. I used the last I had of this yarn so I won't be making another one of these. I realize I definately am probably not charging enough for my stuff because we went shopping yesterday afternoon a little bit. The infinity scarves in Bealle's were $36! Cheaper versions are still running $20 which is what I've been charging and mine are handmade. I was selling this whole set for $30!
This one is the last set I had to complete for a special order.
Alison is keeping this scarf. Super simple to make. I made my beginning chain long enough to wrap and then HDC in the back loops back and forth using a Super Big P Hook. Then joined it together. The yarn is a bulky Bernat Frenzy. Love this yarn!
Last but not least...another pineapple infinity scarf...

I've been pretty busy. We spent the past 4 days after Thanksgiving working at the stables doing trail rides. Been a long time since we've worked so it was fun spending time with the horses.
Princess is in the Christmas spirit...
I am way behind on taking pictures of crocheted stuff....I boxed these fingerless gloves up before I realized I hadn't taken a picture of them so I opened the box back up and took these pictures real quick.
I know one looks bigger but it's just because the second pair is made with a real fluffy soft yarn but I used the same pattern for both.
Here they are on my hand...
I have finished 3 hat and fingerless glove sets, two infinity scarves for Alison, and I'm finishing up a hat and scarf set tonight that I need to get pictures of some time this week.
I will have a little less time to crochet because I'm probably going to start a job on Wednesday! I'm going to be a provider for an elderly lady with dementia. As long as I can find my social security card in storage somewhere!! If that goes as planned then I can start on Wednesday. I'm meeting with Home Healthcare lady tomorrow and going to the lady's house for orientation. It's perfect for me because it's only 16 hours a week and it's all the morning and only on weekdays. It won't interfere with me running Alison to all of her activities and I'll have a little extra spending money. Also, I really love elderly people so I might even enjoy it.
Ran across this cute ear warmer free pattern today and it went on my "TO DO" list:
This just went on my to-do list today. Free Pattern/Tutorial - Knot Knitted Headband
Convertible Hat & Fingerless Gloves
Labels: gloves, hats 0 commentsI needed two models for this set to show how the convertible hat works. The hat has a drawstring at the top so it can be drawn up as a hat or you can losen the drawstrings and wear it as a cowl. Alison is wearing hers as a hat on the right. Ana is wearing hers as a neck cowl on the left.
This picture shows the matching fingerless gloves.
Where did the week go?
Labels: gloves 0 commentsThis week has gone so fast!! I've been busy running Alison around this week. After she's done with her school work, I've been driving her over to her friend, Phoebe's, house every day. Between that and running her around to dance classes, youth, etc. it seems I've been running a lot. Her and Phoebe are rehearsing a dance they have made up to perform at a Valentine's Banquet the church youth group is putting on. It's going to be awesome and they are dancing to the song "Forever Love" by Francesca Battistelli. Alison has been sacrificing horse riding this week to get this done! Hopefully they will have a good turn-out. It's a fundraiser for the youth group! Today, they got up the courage to ask their dance teacher if they can borrow some dresses to dance in. She said yes, and she wants to see their dance. They are going to show it to her on Monday.
Well, I finished these fingerless I've been working on for several days. I went ahead and made a quick hat to go with it to use the rest of that skein of Homespun. That's all of that I have. The tiny bit that's left will go on my scrap blanket.
Now, I don't know what I'm going to do....remember my Wiggly Square? Well, I had been thinking of using that same concept on a hat. I might fiddle around experimenting with that tomorrow if I have time. Should probably go child-size on that because what adult would really want to wear wigglies on their head? :)

I like the camoflauge yarn...I started making a little turtle neck dog sweater for my dog using this same yarn tonight. She needs it! She's been getting cold this winter!
