I'm about to pack up my yarn....

WAAAA!!!
There's something special about taking a single strand of yarn and turning it to fabric
I won't be seeing it again for a few weeks!
WAAAA!!!
I have made sooo many of these and given them away. I found an unfinished bath rug project that I am never going to be inspired to finish so I am going to make bath scrubbies from the yarn until it is used up. It takes me 1 hour to make one of these. Once I'm done with these, I will be probably be taking a crochet break because we are moving in less than a month. Once we get settled back down, the gift baby blanket is next on the agenda. I've got plenty of time though since the baby isn't due until May.
Free pattern is: Here
This is the last of the yarn I was trying to use up. This bib is a little lop-sided but I guess it won't be noticeable if it were actually on a baby.

Picture is a bit blurry but here's a little premie outfit I made
I've been working on quick easy stuff before I get on with a larger project.

I was trying to use up the last bit of this yarn so I made these booties from the same pattern I posted yesterday.

I'm sure I have posted pictures and links for these booties before but here it is again:
Fake Mary Janes
It is my favorite booty pattern for a newborn because it takes about 10 minutes to make and uses no special yarn weight. Just worsted weight yarn will do!
How about this? Quite a few free patterns here including American Girl Doll clothes!

I finished the dress for my friend's daughter's 1 year birthday coming up.
Here's the free pattern link: Pretty in Pink Toddler Sundress Crochet Pattern
I was thinking of making a larger version of it as a baby doll type top for Alison. That might have to wait though. A very old friend is having a baby girl in May. I'm going to start looking through my baby girl patterns to make a baby blanket for her.

Well, our realtor called tonight to say the buyer accepted our counter offer! We'll execute the contract tomorrow and enter into ANOTHER 10 day option period. I feel much better about the buyer this time. I never had a good feeling from the start with the other buyer. I feel like this is it. We have a much better handle on what we have to do to get out this time too. Pray everything goes smoothly!!
This is not finished yet. Here is the progress I have on the dress so far.

Well, I've already gotten to the place on the dress I posted before where I decided its a no go. I hate it when patterns are poorly written, especially on clothing. I follow the instructions and then finally got to a place where it gives me a stitch count and I'm way off. I thought about winging it the rest of the way, but I don't have time to "think" that much right now. I've already started another little dress which is going so far so good. I'll post a picture and pattern link shortly.
In other news, our realtor brought over a contract on our house tonight! It's seems like a good offer and a more sensible buyer this time. She's sending back our counter offer tonight....we'll see what happens!
I started this little toddler sundress yesterday....we'll see if it ever makes its debut or not. Sometimes when I get going on something it takes me a little bit to see if I see enough benefit and satisfaction with it to decide if its worth the effort or if it's time to frog and switch patterns. This is what I have so far. I haven't gotten to work on it today because we had a showing set-up for earlier today and I didn't want to drag my yarn and hooks out. This is the top front and I've started on the back...pretty boring so far.... I'm not sure about this one. I have a friend who's baby is turning 1 year old the end of the month. I was shooting for making something a little bigger for her to wear in the spring to give at her birthday party. If this doesn't work, I may go for a cute hat of some sort...something girly. Maybe a cupcake hat or something like that.
I just realized I need to get started on a baby gift! I have a friend who is having a baby! I guess I'll start sifting through my baby afghan patterns. I wish I knew whether the baby was going to be a boy or girl. Girl blankets are always easier to find patterns for.
Getting ready to leave the house again for another showing this evening...good night!
