~ Picture of Completed Prairie Star Afghan ~
Labels: afghans 6 commentsFinally!! I still haven't taken the pictures I wanted to take of it. The plan was to have the kids hold it up for me to get a good picture of it. It's big so it's hard to get the whole thing! Anyway, here it is laid out on my bed!
Prairie Star Afghan - Free Pattern
Ah, tonight I went to put the chickens up and the chicken roost had fallen over on the ground and there was a chicken pinned under it! I thought it was dead but when I lifted it up, it got up! I hope it's okay and I'm really hoping I don't find a dead chicken in the morning!

Wow! Your afghan looks great!!! That has so inspired me to try it or another afghan I am thinking about. for now I should finish what I have started!
Wish I could find some of the colors that I was looking for the other day, so I will half to find other colors.
I'm looking forward to garage sale season, always a chance to find yarn, patterns maybe crochet hooks!

Jean, I don't want to encourage you to abandon what you are working on now but when you are done....You should DEFINATELY make the Prairie Star afghan! I loved making this and the results are very satisfying. I will make it again with different colors and sturdier yarn. For me, that's like reading a book twice...I don't. Good luck with yarn hunting!

Oh, don't worry about me abandoning my project, I' m on a roll with it.
As for the Prairie star, just what colors to use. I love the originals In the leaflet but some of them are not available.
I just have a hard time putting Colors together.
The other one I want to do is the twinkling star or something like that, there is also the Ohio star.
The pattern for the twinkling star is on sale in the leisure arts site. Ah, too many patterns!!!!!! LOL!

I think I've seen the Ohio Star but never heard of the other one. Do a google search for images for Prairie Star Afghan. You'll see some picture of the Prairie Star done in other colors to help you visual. I think it would also be pretty in some super contrasting very bright colors!
