Crochet Me Crazy

Well, yesterday was the first day of school around here and a whole new schedule for us.

Alison started back to ballet. An hour and a half 3 days a week.



I really need to finish that afghan I started for my sister so I have vowed that I will take that project to dance classes and work on that while Alison is in dance. 4 hours a week should have me finishing it fairly quickly. I am actually completely done crocheting the afghan. I only have many more flowered to crochet and then sew them on. Yesterday, I brought it with me and just sat and weaved in ends. That will be what I do again today.

I have done a few other projects....

First off -- my ugly bunny hat...

I truly almost stopped in the middle of this and threw it in the trash. Everyone said "No, finish it! It's cute!" Well, I really don't like it but it is finished nonetheless and it will go in the box with all of my other completed projects.



Another fun things I started....a raccoon scarf! I am happy with this project! I think he's very cute! I'm not finished with him yet but I'm well on my way!

A very scary realization has occurred to me this week.....I am running out of yarn!! If you knew me and yarn you wouldn't believe this could possibly be true and I can't either. The realization came this week when I had 3 patterns out I wanted to start on. I went to go look for the yarn colors I needed and after searching, I realized I don't have it. I used to have the entire underbed storage in the RV filled with Simply Soft. That is now reduced to one plastic storage bin. Just odds and ends of various colors now. Only enough for small projects. 3 1/2 years of being poor has really helped me put a significant dent in my yarn stash....and my family said it couldn't be done! HA! Looks like I'm going to have to start slowly building up my supply again. It's going to be a lot harder now that we live so far from a city and I have to buy small amounts at a time!

I worked at the stables on Friday even though Alison did not work because she went to an overnight "Back to School Rally" with the church youth group. She's coming back this evening. Praying for a safe trip for her and that she has a great time and meets some new people. I am working again today which is good because I need the money and Jeff is working toda as well. It was only 103 degrees yesterday!! It's pretty miserable out there in the afternoons. Luckily, most days we leave early if no one is coming to ride.

Well, my computer has been in the shop for a week and I just got it back today! Talk about withdrawals! Best Buy warranties are the best!!

At least I was working at the stables all week last week so I had less time on my hands to miss my computer though.
