Crochet Me Crazy

Well, I have only gotten one more square for the swap done since my last posting. Here it is:

I didn't crochet at all yesterday because of Michael's birthday party but this is what I have gotten done on my 2nd attempt of the Fluffy Pink Shrug Schematics so far. This is not done yet! I haven't had any problems with it this time...I guess that's because I am following the INSTRUCTIONS this time instead of trying to make up my own ruffle for this! I think its going to turn out nice. I ran out of white yarn though so I'm going to have to make a yarn run before I can do any more on this. Darn, I hate buying yarn! (Is my nose growing yet?)

Yesterday I taught one of Alison's friends how to make a basic crochet chain stitch. She came back over today with a really long chain she had been practicing on. I showed her how to do a single crochet today and told her to practice that. She wants to make one of these shrugs like I am making Alison. I am going to help her make one. We'll see if she sticks it out!
