Labels: afghans 3 commentsAs you know, I've mostly been posting pictures of squares lately. The reason is because I am trying to get an afghan done for our "new to us" king sized bed. I'm planning on buying a solid colored comforter to put under it. I will probably even make matching pillow shams. I am invisioning putting 1 x 4 board and padding it with batting and then covering it with the same colored solid material. Then I will put more squares over that. I will hang that over my window. I will then hang a Crocheted Window Valance of the solid color from a tension rod hanging out from underneath that. Does that make sense??

I decided to lay-out all of my squares that I have done so far to see how much farther I have to go. This is a picture of my squares. However, I have 34 more squares that I have made for The Blue Squares, Too Swap at Crochetville. I will get 34 different squares back made by 34 differnt people in the swap. Pretty cool, eh?

This is a picture of how many squares I will have once I get my squares back from the swap! Now that is a lot of crocheting! Squares work up really fast for me though. The joining of the squares is what is scaring me. I'm not quite sure how to figure out how many stitches to border them with on each side to make them all the same. If anyone can help me out with this, please speak up!! :-)
I am going to be VERY pround of this when I finish it!!!!
