Crochet Me Crazy

Well, a few days slipped into the black hole. The rest of Hannah's visit I was working at the stables so they were with me there. They got several horse rides in. Hannah was starting to get home-sick and we were all starting to look forward to it being the end of the visit. We drove to San Antonio on Sunday to bring her back to her mom. We got a picture of the girls on our way out.

After we dropped her off, we headed for our favorite restaurant that we've eaten at for years....The Alamo Cafe. It was such a treat! We haven't eaten out in so long!
I've made a friend since we've been here. Becky works at the visitor's center during the off season and her granddaughter is staying with her for the summer. She brought her up to the stables on Friday and Alison gave her a pony ride. Becky brought Alison a gift. She brought Alison a package of panties and a couple of outfits she had bought for her. It was so nice of her! (Alison really did need the panties pretty bad)

Michael wants to learn woodworking. His dad dropped him off at a local shop in town where they make custom wood furniture. Michael went into to talk to them about learning. They told him they couldn't afford to pay him but the man told Michael to call him back this week. He's going to check with his insurance to see if he can let Michael use his tools and equipment to learn. Michael called the man back last night and is supposed to call again this Wednesday. We're letting Michael handle this all by himself. Right now he is working with his dad everyday. Hopefully, he's learning a valuable lesson. The other day he asked his dad if they could get started earlier in the mornings because he's not having time to do anything else like swim, etc. Welcome to the world of adult-hood! LOL! Then, he asked me how Daddy and I ever even got married...I mean you both worked 5 days a week all day...how did you have time to get to know each other!
