The birds outside my window

I'm so glad we moved sites. It's so much more pleasant here. We all seem to spend more time outside. It has a much more cozy feeling than where we were. There are a lot of birds. I haven't figured out why but they come right up to the windows and look inside.

Sometimes they peck and make a big racket. It is very difficult to get a good picture of these this morning because of the way the light is. I'm going to try to catch some pictures of these guys. I finally have the camera here.
This is a Woodpecker. He is very pretty but I can't seem to capture a good picture of her.

This is a Dove

Jeff went to the dentist to get his stitches out today. Something good came out of it at least...he said the dentist has some work for him to give a bid on this weekend.

We have a problem with Alison's show goat. It's not gaining weight. He won't eat the show goat feed. Jeff is going to go talk to the 4-H director today. He said to let him know once we weight the goat so he can try to help us. The goat only had gained 1 pound when we weighed him yesterday! Ugh...Alison has about $130 of her own money sunk into this goat so far. If he doesn't get up to weight, he will get sifted out and she did all this for nothing.

Michael is now getting to learn to turn wood. There are a lot of retired, winter visitors in the RV park this time of year. Very nice and friendly people for the most part. I met a gentleman who turns wood. He has his lathe set up outside his RV. He does some beautiful work and his wife quilts. She has her own little sewing room set up in her RV. He said Michael could come by and he would show him how to turn wood. So, we went by a day ago and Michael watched him make a vase. Next, I think Michael said he is going to let him turn some wood himself. Michael is very interested in this craft as well. A lathe is not an inexpensive piece of machinery. He's really been fortunate to have the opportunity to be around so many older, wise people who have the time and are willing to share their skills with him since we've been here.

What next?
