I am so happy to finally be able to post a couple of finished projects!
Seems like I just am not putting stuff out like I usually do...but of course, I have been working on putting this afghan together for my daughter for quite some time. I had a big box of squares....not all necessarily all made by me...that she wanted me to make her an afghan out of. She picked out her favorite squares and wanted her favorite color "pink" as the trim. Actually, I STILL have enough square left to make another afghan! Isn't that scary? I guess I'll make another one with a more neutral color as the trim this time so it won't be quite so loud! LOL .... Anyhow, It made a great project to be working on while I was so busy and we were doing all that running around. I could just take a bag of squares and my pink yarn with me wherever I went.
I do still plan on adding an edging of some type to this to finish it off completely...but this is good enough for now!!
Next is a pair of socks for Alison that I just got finished adding this trim with beads to........
Now....what to make next?

That turned out beautiful!
Your daughter is a lucky girl.
I'm sure you can come up with something to work on. Those smaller squares are a lot of work to put together. Nice job!

Have you done this afghan with different yarn (I mean yarn, not colors), or the same? How did you make all squares the same size?

Answering "the crocheters" question....
This afghan definately has all kinds of yarns in it. These squares were all kinds of sizes and obviously all kinds of colors! :) I used simply soft pink yarn to trim every square in. I just varied the stitch I used depending on how much pink I needed to add to get them all the same size. I decided I wanted all my squares to be 8 inches across. Then I just took each square and crocheted around them until they measured the correct size. I used a tape measure to get them as close to 8 inches as i could. Then once I had enough to make a row (however many you want depending on how big you want your afghan to be)...then I just whip stitched them together. After I got all my squares with trim sewed together in rows, then i sewed all the rows together. Hope that answers your question! Thanks for visiting my blog! :)
