Thread Table Cloth, Sophie's Universe CAL & Tulle Dress

This is a vintage pattern called "Lucky Star"...hope I can finish this!! Gulp...

It's going to need blocked.

Well, I also gave in and started on the Sophie's Universe CAL 2015 - Look At What I Made. Click name and it will take you to the link! If you like interesting projects, then this is for you! Not only did I start on one....I started on two! I have a whole bunch of various skeins of Red Heart type acrylic yarn in all kinds of colors that I don't really like to use much. When I buy yarn new I buy Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn acrylic yarn because its a lot softer but I can't pass up yarn at thrift stores, etc. so I end up with a collection of odd yarns! Anyway, I wanted to use up some of this so I started on this one first using bright orange and yellows.

It's kinda ugly though. For once, I think the colors actually look better in the picture that in real life.

So then I decided to start one and I let Alison help me with the colors. This is what she came up with...totally different! It's really pretty!

Next up is my crochet & tulle dress I finished!

Bug bite...or sting...or poke... or whatever it was....

I got bit or stung by a Black Corsair bug which is a species of Assassin Bug. No, I am not a bug expert but I did want to know what got me! I was shocked because he's just a little thing. Apparently they have a probosis that comes out of their head that they poke into you. Well, all of them will be getting a swat with the fly swatter from now on and stay away from my lamp! I wasn't scared of him...he landed on my shirt and I went to grab him and get him off and OWWW! He bit me! Well, I'll take that over the scorpion anyday. We have a lot of bugs that try to get into the house to go to the lights at night. It was really bad when the AC wasn't working because we would have the doors open with just the screens shut. There was still places they could crawl under. One night we had about 15 moths flying around the light in our kitchen....and June Bugs! Oh my goodness! I feel sorry for those clumsy guys and I throw them out the door. Well, the AC is working now so it's just the few that get in when someone opens the door.

3 twenty four hours shifts and an 8 hour shift in a row

and now I'm home. Here's my the crochet I accomplished in that time span....

These are cami neckline cover-ups for my well-endowed daughter, Alison...Poor girl has a hard time with clothes. The black one worked out really well. It's light-weight and made out of thread. I don't know if the pink one will work. The thread is a little thicker and it's a bit heavy.

Next up is this cute little top for Alison. It is so cute on her with a tank top under it. (I made her try it on when she came to visit) It's really tight but I think it might stretch a bit. I may make another one of these in black and make it a tad bit bigger.

Lastly, I started on this baby dress yesterday. I love it. The color is a coral...not orange like it looks in the picture and the blue isn't turquoise like it looks. It's more like a seafoam blue color. I think I may make this one again too. Super easy and cute little baby dress. I could finish this up quickly and am itching to do it but I refuse to touch it again. I'm saving it for when I go back for two more 24 hours shifts on Wednesday and Thursday...actually it's one 24 hour shift and then another 30 hours before I come home because all day Friday is my normal shift. Anyway, I should be getting a nice check!

Got off and 10 am this morning and came home to my normal life. Washed everyone's clothes, washed the dishes and cooked dinner. I missed the Easter weekend with Jeff's parent's visiting. They came by twice to say Hi to me. I crocheted away and watched every show that comes on the ID Channel!

Oh, here is a picture of the pet deer that roams the neighborhood where I work. I fed him a carrot. His name is Kip.

He's not as pretty as my Gracie was. I sure do miss her....
