Weather and other news

The weather has been absolutely gorgeous the past few days....oh how I love it! We worked on getting the yard cleaned up a bit this weekend.
I have made up my mind that I'm going to lose this extra weight I have gained. I've decided to do the Atkins Diet. I have done the Atkins diet before with great success. Even though its really hard for me because I am a carb addict, that is why I really need to do it. I felt so much better and had so much more energy the last time I did it. I am choosing those just as much for that reason as for the weight loss. I have become so sluggish and I simply cannot afford to be this way. We go camping and need to be active with the kids...i don't want to get where I can't do that any more. Right now, I am finding recipes and food ideas so I won't run out of things to eat. Well, wish me luck! :)

Annual "daddy date"

Alison and her daddy had their annual Daddy/Daughter date for Alison's birthday last week. Every year for her birthday, they dress up and daddy takes her on a "date" to the restaurant of her choice. They went to Olive Garden and Starbucks for dessert! She looks forward to this! Hopefully, this is help shape her idea of how a man should treat her!

Yesterday was a beautiful day here yesterday. We been having lots and lots of birds in our backyard everyday so we decided to hang a couple of bird feeders in our yard. It's so nice to hear all the birds especially on a beautiful day!

Crochet Post

I am so happy to finally be able to post a couple of finished projects!
Seems like I just am not putting stuff out like I usually do...but of course, I have been working on putting this afghan together for my daughter for quite some time. I had a big box of squares....not all necessarily all made by me...that she wanted me to make her an afghan out of. She picked out her favorite squares and wanted her favorite color "pink" as the trim. Actually, I STILL have enough square left to make another afghan! Isn't that scary? I guess I'll make another one with a more neutral color as the trim this time so it won't be quite so loud! LOL .... Anyhow, It made a great project to be working on while I was so busy and we were doing all that running around. I could just take a bag of squares and my pink yarn with me wherever I went.

I do still plan on adding an edging of some type to this to finish it off completely...but this is good enough for now!!

Next is a pair of socks for Alison that I just got finished adding this trim with beads to........

Now....what to make next?

You Are 40% Gross

You're a tad gross, but generally you're a clean, hygienic person.
No one can be perfectly clean all the time, and it's better to be human than a neat freak.
How Gross Are You?

You Are a Life Blogger!

Your blog is the story of your life - a living diary.
If it happens, you blog it. And make it as entertaining as possible.
What Kind of Blogger Are You?

Your Five Factor Personality Profile

Extroversion:

You have low extroversion.
You are quiet and reserved in most social situations.
A low key, laid back lifestyle is important to you.
You tend to bond slowly, over time, with one or two people.

Conscientiousness:

You have medium conscientiousness.
You're generally good at balancing work and play.
When you need to buckle down, you can usually get tasks done.
But you've been known to goof off when you know you can get away with it.

Agreeableness:

You have medium agreeableness.
You're generally a friendly and trusting person.
But you also have a healthy dose of cynicism.
You get along well with others, as long as they play fair.

Neuroticism:

You have high neuroticism.
It's easy for you to feel shaken, worried, or depressed.
You often worry, and your worries prevent you from living life fully.
You tend to be emotionally reactive and moody. Your either flying very high or feeling very low.

Openness to experience:

Your openness to new experiences is low.
You're a pretty conservative person, and you favor what's socially acceptable.
You think that change for novelty's sake is a very bad idea.
While some may see this as boring, many see you as dependable and wise.

Your Personality is 66% Addictive

You definitely have an addictive personality, and you're probably hooked on something.
Even if it's just peanut M&Ms or online shopping.

You Are 64% Intuitive

You are a very intuitive person. And luckily, your intuition is normally right.
You're wise enough to know that relying on intuition alone can be dangerous.
When your intuition seems really off, you tend to ignore it - and look at the facts instead.

An Eternity Without God

As the last breath is drawn through the air, thick with the presence of the Spirit of Death that looms in the air surrounding his form.... waiting, watching for the time to come..... All before have gone & the time has drawn near to join the ones that came before you. One more life hangs by a thread. One more life passes beyond the line of spirit & life. Fate has been cruel in his life but his escape to the land of souls is come. His time is up. A life of sorrow, a life of hate, a life of misfortune, & of lost love passes slowly beyond the void of life & death. Redemption or Hell... one shines like a star of the purest light. The other covered with a swirling torment of death, lies, scorn, hate, & lust. For years the Hand of Light & Love was out stretched to him but he declined, thereby sealing His own fate, damning His very soul. For the hand no longer was outstretched towards him, but merely said, "You have had your pleasure in life & have not cared of heavenly things & are not fit to inherit the kingdom of Heaven of which I have given to you." Steadily, the Spirit of Death's black wings move, carrying his soul closer to the large, black, gaping mouth of the abyss below, scattered with every horror fathomable by any soul or heart. Bodies obscure the whole area -- the bodies and bones of those who scoffed, mocked, cursed, lied, & committed sin in the Lord's holy name. The Spirit of Death vanquishes its grasp, allowing him to fall to the fate that he had earned in his life & now awaits him. He earned his fate in hell & rejected God's offer for eternal life............But yet one voice in Heaven mourns for this one lonely, sinful man.

I've Been Tagged!

I've Been Tagged!

I've been tagged by Jodi (WildCrochet247)

THE RULES: Each player of this game starts with the 6 weird things about you. People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 6 weird things as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don't forget to leave a comment that says you are tagged in their comments and tell them to read your blog.

Hmmmmm.....

1) I love to a eat a tomato plain with just salt & pepper on it but I do not them "on" anything .... like tomatoes on a salad or tacos!

2) We have had 4 pet rats over the past few years and thought they were sweet! LOL

3) Bugs, bats, spiders, mice don't scare me but I am absolutely terrified of roaches! I can't even look at them or see them on TV!!

4) I am like a little kid when we go camping....I love to explore, pick up rocks, fossils and collect things....get off the beaten path. We bring home all our treasures and then i don't know what to do with them when we get home! I've got tons of bottles from our last trip that we hauled home.... (blushing)

5) I record Judge Judy every day! LOL

6) Our dog goes on all trips with us even if I have to sneak her. She will lay still and quiet in a bag or backpack just about anywhere! I can't leave her with anyone or she will cry the whole time and won't let anyone near her she gets so scared....I once carried her around a museum for 3 hours in her dog bag because I couldn't leave her in the hot car. No one even knew she was there!
