HALLELUAH!!!!!!!!!

Here I am sitting with my real computer. I've gotten most of the stuff from my poor overworke hard drive moved over to my external hard drive. Boy, does it feel good to have MY computer back! Now, are you ready to see a little bit of what I've been crocheting all this time?

Here are a couple of baby doll outfits I finished...wow, these seem like a long time ago!

Results of my first "Stumble"

I tried out the Stumble feature on Firefox and this is what I came up with. I definately came up with different results than I would have with a regular search. I used the key words "crafts" and found the first two and "crochet" for the crochet with can stuff.

The Shirt

Gift Box

Beer (or, Dr. Pepper!) Hat

Can Tote

Well, I sure miss posting my finished projects to my blog. Gosh, I've got so many things finished now it feels like it's getting away from me. I'm about to finish up a scarf, hat and purse set that I'm particularly proud of in a Patons Pebbles yarn I found at Dollar Tree awhile back. I followed a pattern for the hat but made up the scarf and purse. It's the purse that is turning out better than expected! I'm getting pretty used to working with it even though it was a little awkward at first. It's really bulky so stuff works up really fast with it. This is my third hat, scarf set with various Patons yarns I got at Dollar Tree. I've been working on getting a little stash of things made up for a possible craft sale. If that doesn't work out, I figure I can always save them for gifts.

Man, I wish I could discipline myself to write the patterns down when I make stuff up. One of these days....

Well, thought I'd stop in and say I haven't dropped off the face of the earth!

Update

Well, I got a new toy the other day. They had external hard drives on sale at Circuit City so I got a "Two Hundred Sixty" GB hard drive to store all my files on. I had to figure out how to ensure that losing my stuff doesn't happen again! Wow, now I have plenty of room! Well, I'll probably need it when we start converting our NEST video set to DVD's. We had bought an excellent set of animated history and bible VHS tapes for the kids which were very expensive. Of course, DVD came out shortly after we bought them!

My daugher, Alison, starts back to dance class today. She is going into 2nd grade ballet this year so she will have classes 2x a week instead of just 1x. It's going to be tough because I dread the driving. It takes me at least 30 minutes and sometimes more depending on the traffic to get to her school. But it is worth it because dancing is really her thing and the school is a very good christian dance school. It is the feeder school into the just starting out profession christian dance company. They professional dancers travel all over the world doing missions. I think there is a good chance Alison will continue on to that point and probably teach when she is older. We are adding modern and possibly tap to her dance this year. If we do, it will mean 3 hours of dance classes on Mondays. Even though ballet is her true love, i think its good for her to get some training in other types of dance if she's really serious about continuing. So....Mondays will be VERY busy days for us and Fridays. I absolutely hate choice of days her classes are on because it is going to interfere with our travel plans. I'm not going to worry about it too much about her missing if she has to until the end of the year when they are getting ready for exams and performances. She'll have to go to make up classes if we have to miss. Anyway, i think she is excited and ready to get started again.
