Finished with all the Goody Bags!

Yay! I'm ready to move onto other crochet projects. In the meantime, we need to get started making the pinata for Alison's party though. Nothing fancy this year. Last year, I made a heart shaped pinata. This year, we're just going to paper mache over a balloon and Alison can pick some cute things to print out and glue onto it for decoration.

What next?

Chain the number of chains to equal the width you want your bag to be. (Make it divisible by 2)
    ch1, turn
SC in each chain across. Do not turn.
SC in free loops on the other side of your beginning chains. You should now have double the number of stitches. I just continued to work in a spiral until the bag was the height I wanted it to be. You can use a safety pin to count your stitches and keep your bag even. When you get to where you want your drawstring to be, then you will sc in next stitch, skip next sc, sc in next stitch (all the way around); Then you sc in in each stitch and space on the last row.
Make you a drawstring by crocheting a chain or use a ribbon or whatever flats your boat. I hope that makes sense. I just sorta made them up as I went along...mine weren't all exactly the same.
