Afghan & Potholder

Well, I've pretty much decided to give up on the particular afghan pattern I was working on. The pattern is extremely confusing. My edges are un-even.

I haven't had this problem since I first started crocheting! I'm going to take this all out and either go back to the drawing board or I'm going to start on the one from the Crochet World Mag.

Here is a picture of a potholder that I finished.

What next?

Hi. mayby you were suspose to do your first stitch in the same spot as your chain. Jean

You were and I did. It also told you to do your last stitch in the turning chain. But this is an older pattern. I often find the older patterns more confusing. You have to skip around alot too looking here and there for the stitch you are supposed to be doing. It's just too long of a project to do with that much confusion. There are too many afghan patterns out there!

Also, if it would give you the stitch count at the end of the rows, that would help!
