Michael's surgery

Michael's surgery went fine yesterday. He did excellent. I was very impressed with The Hand Center that he had the surgery at. ALL of the staff was very professional and friendly. They really took excellent care of Michael. They take extra care to make you as comfortable as possible, including us ...I was just so impressed with the facility. He has a HUGE splint on his arm right now. They put a lot of anesthetic into the incision site so he hasn't had much pain really. They said it might not start wearing off until today but not to let him get into pain. If it starts to tingle or he has any discomfort to go ahead and give him something. He will have more pain from this surgery than the first one because they actually cut him this time. So far his biggest complaint is that his elbow wants to stretch out but he can't because its stuck in that splint. He goes back to the doctor in 10 days for the cast.

Life seems to be moving faster than I am these days. It just doesn't feel like Christmas to me. I usually decorate my entir house for Christmas but I'm feeling very unmotivate to do it this year. I'm considering just the tree this year although I know that would dissappoint the kids. It just seems like so much work and since i'm so far behind on getting it up....

We bought the new dishwasher last night and it will be delivered on Monday. We still haven't gotten the freezer and the refrigerator in the garage cleaned out. We didn't have room in Wednesday's trask so its all still out there... the kitchen refrigerator is clean as a whistle to the sight but I'm still getting smell from it. I'm not sure what the problem is. We have never had a chance to get to the store so we have been picking stuff up and eating out of the pantry. We only have one vehicle and Jeff has been extra busy with meetings this week so I haven't been able to get out. Tuesday, he drove to Dallas and back and didn't get home until late....yesterday was the surgery and he had training after that and didn't get home until after 7 pm. Then, we rushed to get the dishwasher ordered at Home Depot before they closed. We wanted to get it last night because they have a "no interest" financing deal that ended last night. We figured we won't have to fork the cash over yet that way.

Any ol' way....guess I'll be getting going now.

What next?
