Crochet Me Crazy

Well, this pace is either gonna make me younger or older....not sure which yet!
We did have an eventful ride early this morning. Bandit decided to turn around in the line and kick the horse in front of him! It causes a little shuffle of all the horses in the immediately vicinity. Bandit was still pinning his ears back and being bratty so we took the lady off of Bandit and Jeff rode him instead.

The kids and I didn't get home until about 9:00 tonight. Once the last ride is over for the day, we still have to unsaddle and feed all the horses and clean up the horse pen. After the last ride today, we all went out on our own little ride. it was a little adventurous. I was a little nervous because I was going to ride Silver who has been in a bad mood today. He tried to kick Ryan when he was loosening his saddle. He was ready to get unsaddled with the rest of the horses but we took our last 5 horses out to ride instead. Michael's horse ran away before he could get on him so we had to catch him and get him back on. Of course, he picked one of the brattiest horses to ride, Bandit. I LOVE that horse to death but he is strong willed. Bandit gave Michael trouble during the ride. Silver gave me a little bit of problems at first but by the end of the ride, he was doing very well for me. We galloped the last part of the ride. I prefer to walk myself but everyone wanted to gallop. Alison's got that little horse she rides doing very well for her. She rides Princess every ride and protects her like a mama hen. Princess has a sweet disposition just like Alison. We went way back on their property and it is amazingly beautiful back there.

Anyway, the kids and I came on home and Michael still hadn't had enough for the day and wanted to work the front gate at the park. There's big lines up there every night of people wanting to get into the dance. I came home and let Michael change into his park shirt and then dropped him off up there at the gate. Michael loves working the gate on weekends. Jeff stayed at the stables to go out and hunt an Axis deer with Ryan. Ryan wants to try to get a deer before he leaves on Tuesday.

I do believe I'm going to take the day off tomorrow! We'll close early tomorrow anyway because its Sunday. We are heading to town to go grocery shopping. We are OUT of food and have been eating whatever we can find the past few days until we can get to the store.
