Happy Anniversary to us
2 commentsToday is our 15th wedding anniversary. After the day at the stables, we left the kids here at the RV and we went to a local family restaurant. Very popular place that's been here since the 40's on the river. Down home cooking and a friendly atmosphere. We ordered fried mushrooms as an appetizer and couldn't believe how many they gave us...it was at least 3 times if not 4 times what I've ever seen served at a restaurant. We ordered the special...chicken fried steaks, cajun green beans, corn on the cob, rolls, a salad and tea all included for $8.95! What a bargain! LOL...however, next time I'm getting a burger. I'm not big on chicken fried steak but I was trying to be adventurous. Then we just drove around a little while looking at the scenery.
We've been getting a little rain here today but nothing heavy. Still managed to have a decent amount of people at the stables despite the rain. I was walking around with mud caked on my shoes all day.
Well, I finally finished the main part of my baby blanket working here and there between the visitor's center and the stables. Now, I'm starting on the edging but here's what I've got so far. I will never buy this yarn again though. It's a Pound of Love baby yarn. It's so scratchy and splits. It's just not pretty yarn at all.

Happy Anniversary!! Sounds like you had a great day. Your blanket is a pretty shade of lavender!!

It IS a nice shade...I just wish the yarn was softer. Finally, I ventured away from Pink! LOL
