Crocodile Stitch Boot Cuffs

Well, I finished the crocodile stitch boot cuffs that were inspired by the hat I made! I haven't had a chance to get them modeled by my daughter because I've been working alot but I did get a picture taken!

Here's the pattern....I wrote it in a hurry.

Crochet Me Crazy's Crocodile Stitch Boot Cuffs

WW Yarn
I Hook

Note: I chain 46 for the boots cuff for our family but you can start yours using any multiple of 2 depending on the size you need and where you plan to wear them on your leg.

Round 1 - Ch 46, slip stitch in beginning chain to form a ring

Check to see how this fits on your leg. They will stretch a little bit and you want them tight enough not to fall down. Also take into consideration that you will most likely be wearing them over jeans or leggings!

Round 2 – Ch3, *Skip 1 Ch, HDC in next chain, Ch 1, Repeat from * around. Join in 2nd chain of beginning Ch 3.

Round 3 – Sl St in first Chain space, Ch 3, *HDC in next Ch 1 space, Ch 1, Repeat from * around. End by sl st around post of beginning Ch3.

Round 4 – Ch 3, * HDC in next Ch 1 space, Ch 1, Repeat from * around. End by sl st around post of beginning Ch3.

Round 5 – 8 – Repeat Instructions for Row 4

Round 9 – Ch 3, DC in same space as Ch 3, *Ch 1, DC in next ch space, Ch 1, 2 DC in next Ch space, repeat from * around until you get to the last space. You want to make sure you are ending with just 1 DC in a space so you will skip that last space and go ahead and join with your beginning Ch3.

Round 10 – *5 DC down around post of first DC in your first set of 2 DC from the row below. When you get to the bottom you will now place 5 DC going UP the 2nd DC of this first group of 2 DC. (First Crocodile Stitch Made) Slip Stitch around next single DC, Repeat from * to make crocodile stitches on each group of 2 DC around with a slip stitch around each single DC. End with a Slip Stitch in the last DC

Round 11 – Ch 3, DC in same Stitch, Ch 1, *DC in the middle space of your Crocodile Stitch, Ch 1, 2 DC in the stitch where you slip stitched between your crocodile stitches, Ch 1 Repeat from * around, Join with sl stitch in beginning Ch 3

Round 12 – Repeat Row 10 and finish off.

Finish off your boot cuff by flipping it over and finishing off with a round of single crochet!
